Can I use the Digidesign mBox audio driver?

I just re-installed Ableton Live Studio 8.4 and my Protools LE for Windows. Previously I was able to set the Ableton audio driver to use the Digidesign ASIO driver, however, when I select this now with Ableton started on its own, I am unable to. Says the driver could not be accessed. I am currently using my Creative Labs ASIO driver, which works, however I would like it to utilize the mbox driver because I plug guitar there and generally, this is where my headphones connect up. I am wondering how I was able to have it working this way previously. Would appreciate help on this one.

Try to download the latest ASIO driver from the Digidesign page.

I checked out Digi's web site and they say users should NOT install the Standalone Digidesign Audio Drivers from this page, but should use the versions included with their Pro Tools installation. I also ran the Digi MME helper, adding Ableton 8.0.4 to the list of applications to use it, but get the same error.

So far, unsolved.
