Hey,
Got a pretty simple question but i'm not sure how to explain it (english not my native language).
I'm trying to dj with ableton for a few weeks now (just trying at home no gigs yet). And i have a question about the different volume (gain?) of tracks.
Some tracks are louder than others, and if i mix two tracks together the master volume is in the red which is obv wrong. So how can i fix that. And how can i play all tracks at the same volume?
How to get all the tracks on the same volume in live
Re: How to get all the tracks on the same volume in live
well, if you got live 8 just put live's own limiter in the master track.
if you are on 7 or lower, you can use a vst limiter instead, e.g. http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-master-limiter.php

double click on the clip to open Clip View. turn the volume up there so the waveform just barely hits the top of the screen (play with it to see how loud you can go.) you can pull it off while/before you fade the track in.
