Syncing MPC500 with Ableton Live 7

Hi,
I've been trying to figure out how to sync my MPC500 with Live 7 with the MPC as the master. In my searches a common answer was to hit the EXT button next to the tempo bar to put Ableton into external sync mode. Well, Ableton 7 doesn't have that button. How do I do this in Live 7?

You should go to Live's preferences and check the MIDI settings.
Here turn ON the "TRACK" and "SYNC" buttons of your MIDI IN channel. The EXT button will appear. Click it and you are gone!

Hhhmmm... it's not showing up.. Track is On, Sync is On. ???
My interface is receiving a MIDI signal from the MPC....
