Any new Komplete owners looking to sell their old Guitar Rig 3? I'd be interested.

This Komplete deal is undeniably good. But I have enough going on within Suite 8 personally!

Yes, you can edit the code in service center
Thanks. So let's say I already have Reaktor, if I install Komplete will the service center say I now have 2 serials/registered copies of Reaktor?

On that note, can you sell individual parts of Komplete or are they all tied to one serial? Somebody could probably make a decent profit if they kept doing that over and over - maybe that answered my own question.

YES!!! Just ordered my copy (Kopy  ) today! It took me 2 weeks to convince my girlfriend into letting me buy Komplete, finally did the math for her and explained if i wait any longer the deal will be over, i will eventually buy it but i will pay a little over a thousand $$$, ( i also gave her a guilt trip about her buying a purse that cost over 2 thousand dollars .)

To answer the original poster's question: YES it's worth it! YESYESYES!!!

I just had so much fun with Guitar Rig alone.... and the presets of the rest that I skipped through sounded promising!

is it worth it over buying logic?

As far as a sound library is concerned?

I wanted to add my name to the list of people who sprung for this.

I really wanted Massive, but for 200 bucks more I can Reaktor, Absynth, FM8, Guitar Rig and 6 other instruments? Woah wtf, sign me up...

Pffff this is tempting but I wonder how much I'd use any of it, other than Reaktor.

That's if NI let me, I hate having to activate Live at Ableton's behest, let alone dealing with NI's supposedly erratic support.

Edit: Not to mention that in the UK Komplete is going for £399 ! That's $651!! NI can bugger right off, with that price.

NI support has always been top-notch in my experience. They can take a few days to get back to you on an email support ticket, but if you call them on the phone they can generally deal with your issues right there and then. The forums are generally very helpful too - ew and others will answer your question in a jiffy. But basically, if you need an answer in a hurry, just call instead of emailing then.

The only complaint I've had about NI is that they never released a UB Absynth 3 update, despite previous words to the contrary in the forums.

Perhaps you could order from a US retailer?

I think, if Guitar Rig is an indication, it is wayyyy better than the Logic plugins.
FM8 and Absynth are both really great too, didn't have much time to try many others.

Hereschenes, thanks for your reply. Tbh, I'm completely put off by the idea I have to call someone in another country to "activate" software I've bought, if - for example - my broadband connection is down. Not great if you've got a creative spark going, eh? (Thank goodness I have some hardware to play with)

As for buying from a US store, chances are high I would have to pay import tax. That's if the store would be prepared to ship the software to another country.

I saw this but didn't want to have dozens of plugs I would not use nor be able to sell. I would loose too much precious composition time browsing 1.000.000 presets in those multiple synths (and I already own Massive)...

but...

I want reaktor.

who sells reaktor 5 for 60-70€ ??? :D

cheers

You only have to activate it once. After that you can use it as much as you want on that machine.

Just make sure you don't try to register it via snail mail. Native Instruments have not responded to my correspondence with an unlock code since 4 months.

Not that Native Instruments would get the Slowest Customer Service award. This goes to another (existing) company that haven't even mailed me the program I bought on their site in 32 months. Though they sent me 12 "this is how great the program would be, had we shipped it" newsletters already since then. :D
