Do the Demos not include the instruments needed to complete

the tutorials?

I d/led the full Live 8 Suite demo, activated it for 14 days, and i'm trying to complete the tutorials but things are missing. I have no Impulse instruments for the drum tutorial and I also lack the Simpler Piano samples for the Building Layered Instruments tutorial.

Did i do something wrong?

How am I supposed to evaluate this software if I can't even finish the tutorials?

I downloaded the demo and had no problem to follow the lessons

As said above, make sure to download the right version!

I also dont have impulse content on my demo.

I downloaded the largest available demo, Live 8 Suite from ableton.com/downloads and it is only 470 mb.

Where is the 1.3gb version?

I went to ableton.com/livepacks but there are about 20 seperate files to download, most of which are labelled with older vsns. The live 8 section doesnt have impulse listed...

any ideas?

I had the exact same problem. I fixed mine by going to Live > Preferences > Library, and clicking "Repair Library".
