Korg Electribe as midi slave

Hi everyone, here's a small question for you.

I have:

• Korg Electribe EMX
  Evolution UC33 Midi controller USB
  Ableton Live 7
  MacBook
  2 midi cables

I simply can't get the Electribe in midi sync with Live as the master.

I'm doing like this:
Evolution connected via USB to the MacBook,
a midi cable from the MIDI OUT of the Evolution to the MIDI IN of the Eletribe,
the Eletribe set for Ext Sync,
in Live's midi preferences the Evolution midi OUT is active for TRACK and SYNC.

Simply when I hit PLAY in Live the Electribe doesn't move, and i doesn't receive any MIDI clock signals.

What I'm doing wrong? Is it possible use te Evolution for the sync?

check your midi-preferences in your electribe manual
there should be a lot of 0000 and no XXXX

but i can tell from my own experience that the eletribes
dont sync well as slaves .... most time they run out of sync
after a few bars.... i didnt try a third midi hardware clock
to run live and one electribe as slave - maybe that would do the trick
but live would not be the master

Anyone got any advice on configuring and er1 mk2 as the master to control ableton. Been playing with midiox and managed to get a few things working but want all the controls to work. Had no joy with miditribe.
