Problem with Live 7.0.16 and Reaktor 5.1.5 vst versions

MacBookPro 2.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Leopard 10.5.6, Live 7.0.16, Reaktor 5.1.5 - VST versions don't show up in the Live browser. They are in the vst folder and Reaktor has been re installed twice from scratch. Anyone have any ideas or similar issues?
I have the same set up working on my Desktop (Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5 Tiger 10.4.11)

I have a similar setup, but no problems. Did you try to force a rescan of the VSTs in the preferences?

Yes did that. Are you using Reaktor? It seems that the latest vst is only vst2.3 (which is apparently incompatible with Intel) Can anyone else confirm or deny that information.

Ah- that's wrong. 5.1.5 definitely works on an IntelMac

I was told from Ableton that 2.3 VSTs won't work can you confirm that the Reaktor 5.1.5.002 VSTs are 2.4? Do you know if Reaktor 5.1.5 VST versions definitely work in Live 7 on an Intel Mac?

I completely reinstalled from the discs deleted all old versions, plist files etc... and still don't see them or any other vst's that are 2.3. These are all working and showing up and working on my desktop which is a PowerPC/Tiger.

Ableton support sounded sure thatvst2.3s wont work on Intel (and did not say only in Live) Can anyone confirm that?

if you are on a Mac...why in the world do you need to use a VST? the AU version works flawlessly... the only VST I use is LSS Dj eQ, the rest...AU's only...everything works...just wotks.

Atomikat- In Live you can only use Reaktor midi and multiple outs with the VST version. This is critical for most of what I'm doing now. I don't know why they can't have this for the AU versions...I really thought I was pretty much done with VSTs.

Problem solved...Thanks to Ableton support!
Here was the solution for anyone else who may have this problem.

1) close Live and delete the files "preferences.cfg", "vstinfoscan.cfg", "template.als" and "undo.cfg" which can be found here (if available):
/Users/your user name/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 7.0.x

2) repair the permissions of your hard disk by using the "disk utility" which can be found under Applications/utilities

Now start up Live and check if the plugs are there.

A shot in the dark, but have you used the appropriate Leopard installer patch when installing Reaktor?
