Ruso - Exclusive Live Set [Half step dnb, dubstep, hip-hop]

Post by AudioRuso » Sun Jul 12, 2009 6:19 pm

The starts have finally lined up for this one. Over a year in the making, Hundreds of hours and hundreds of hardware and software errors..... dozens of hours of work lost never to be heard again. I finally bring you Rhythmo Spitology.

A half step drum n bass framework with dubstep influenced basslines, hip-hop, dub and reggae elements twisted together into a funked up dance floor rumbling stew of auditory pleasure.

This is the EXCLUSIVE, never before heard recording of such a phenomenon (with a successful result) in a crystal clear set with not a single pop or crackle or compression artifact

I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making!

On that note, please enjoy responsibly.

Also, if you live in Washington State, be sure not to miss the all mighty photosynthesis festival where I will be performing this set.

I rarely get replies on new tune postings, the Ableton forums are not really the best place for feedback. Do you have more info on the Photosynthesis festival? Never heard of that.

Oh you're in seattle!? Dude we should jam together sometime.

I'm in Ellensburg, WA currently but my parents Reside in Sammamish so it's a short drive to seattle.

Info:
August 7-10
Trout Lake, WA

There's gonna be three stages and also art exhibitions (and since I only have an hour long set I'm considering setting up my portable sound system and playing a set somewhere else and trip out some e-tards with overused effects :-D).... There's gonna be tons of different types of music... I'll be playing on the novatron lounge stage that will have a LOT of live performance artists over the course of the weekend.

By the way, I think I'm gonna go to seattle this week and post up and play my set a few times.

I already hit up the redmond skate park :) but it's kind of a drag to drive 100 miles for me.

You reap what you sow with this forum so take some time to listen to the other music posted.

Having said that I am about a quarter of the way through and it sounds good.
Does it consist of all your own original music?

This really isn't what I would usually call "MY THING" however on listening to the first 5 minutes with my finger ready to skip on thru I stayed in the reay to skip pose until after 20 mins which says a lot... Although as I say it's not my usual bag I would happily pay an entry fee to see that live!!

Great work
