I need some help with my workflow as applied to Live

Post by hobbycore » Mon Jul 20, 2009 11:29 pm

Ok, currently I use a looper pedal (rc-20xl) to compose songs. I purchased an apc40 in order to streamline my production and live performance, but I am at a roadblock.

All my loops are at the same tempo, recorded to the click on the rc-20xl.

What I'd like to do is put the looper pedal in one-shot mode and record it. I'd like to trim it, then determine the BPM and file the loop away in a folder.

I will be using these loops in the session view in projects of various tempos, so if there's anything special I need to do that'd be good to know as well :)

I'll be browsing tutorials and the manual to try and figure this out, but I figured I should ask as well.

Thank you!

Or If I could figure out loop record with the ability to start/stop/overdub via footswitch like my rc-20xl... the apc40 has footswitch inputs and I have some momentary switches here. I could make a box to handle that.

The basics of doing this are here:
