All other DAWs have the same problem, why should ableton have "more" problems with piracy than other companies? I just prefer to look at piracy as it is today as a form of "unwanted" promotion, which more or less can't be bad in the long run!

My point is, they have to protect thier assets anyway they can. If they didnt, they honestly wouldnt survive in this day and age. Its like a car dealer leaving the keys in all the cars on the lot! People can still steal the car without the keys, but the odds that they will go down A LOT when the keys arent in the ignition.

Can you provide evidence that copy-protection affects Live's performance? I don't understand what relevant computations would be running to do with copy-protection once Live is unlocked.

Without pirated copies of Ableton I never would have learned it and made the switch.

Same goes for just about every application I have paid for over the years.

So... who's going to do the bootleg live8 performance test and compare it to the legit copy then?

Just another evidence of incapacity from a person which only reads the subject line instead of tracking the whole topic. Hush never changed nor antagonised a blemish in the past. If you think so stay hushed and don't try to administer me orally nor try to affront me!

So what are you saying? You bought Live but the cracked version is lighter on your CPU?
