I score tv and film music for a living and have to say that Live is a great asset to me. I score in Cubase and Live has now become the "goto" program for any looping that doesn't Recycle (chop up into slices in Recycle) well.
I was pretty happy with 1.5 and now find 2.0 is terrific, especially with it's different warp modes and bypass.
I only wish there could be some multiple locator points from which to start the playback.
Great job Ableton!

Andrew...could you give me a head-start on using Live with Cubase SX? I should be able to record some tracks in Live and then thru Rewire bring them into Cubase? so far, I can see the Rewire/Ableton in SX but I don't know what to do next....thanks

Skipn,
I use Cubase VST 5.1r2 in Mac OS 9.2.2. Until SX gets it's $h!t together by including "straighten hit points" for scoring to picture (like in Cubase VST 5.0) then I will stay in VST land.
Ableton works like a charm through rewire in 5.0 and I wouldn't know where to start with SX..... sorry. I don't even own SX.
I'm guessing it will be at least 6 months before I CONSIDER going to OS 10 and SX or (most probably) Nuendo 2.0. There just seems to be too many thing that need to be ironed out.... your problems with rewire seems like it could be one of them.
Sorry I couldn't help.

Version 2 is great! I see a dramatic difference in smoothness of creating effects units, operation of various controls, and decreased CPU usage. mac os x 10.2, tibook 400, 256 mb ram. Can't wait till the Craig Anderton manual gets here so I can learn some tricks!
