8.04 (suite) crashes constantly!!!

Hi there

I've got Suite 8.04, on a macbook core2duo (2ghz/4gb/320gb). I use it with a Digi Mbox 2 Pro, as well as an Apogee Duet. With either interface, Live crashes every single time I use it, generally when saving or quitting. I have not had a successful save+quit in over a month. Every time I start up, I see that lovely "Live crashed, do you want to recover your work" dialog... This is even with very basic sets (e.g. new from template, with a few audio tracks laid down).

Edit: I'm using Mac OSX 10.5.7.

Are other folks experiencing this, and what can I do to make this $800 investment usable?

It's happening a lot to me, too. And like you said, especially when saving or quitting -- mostly when saving, for me.

I'm using:
Macbook Pro 2.4 GHz
2GB DDR3
OS X 10.5.7
Live 8 8.04

It seems to crash almost every other time I save a set.

i rely on Live heavily but have had to stick with v7 because ever since the 8.0 beta it's crashed
fairly rapidly, within a few minutes after booting it on my MacBookPro.

it's been a few months since Live 8 launched and i thought it would be solved by now,
and i'm very much game to upgrade by now, but Live 8.0.4 just crashed yet again,
five minutes into poking around.

again, Live 7 is solid as granite...

Ok. i seemed to have solved MY problem..

turns out Live 8 (not Live 7) has a conflict with Unsanity's APE and WindowShade.
(maybe it's just Windowshade, haven't fine-combed it yet..)

I am going to gather my logs and send them off. I am using either an iMac or a MBP and Live 8.04 OR ANY of the 8 betas consistently crash when saving. Every time. 7 was way more stable. This is quite ridiculous.
