So I was thinking, it'd be nice to be able to play every keyboard part in all of my songs. The only problem is that some of those keyboard parts must be hit at exactly the right time. Now, the V-Station VSTi has no problems with this, the arpeggiator actually waits until the next beat to start playing. Now why can't I do that with anything else? I mean, I spent $500 on Ableton, and this is the ONE THING that it won't pull of without a hitch!
Is there an arpeggiator setting or a plugin that can help me with this? This would alleviate most of my stage problems with running pre-recorded electronics behind live instruments... Specifically, buffer overloads *psycho theme plays*!
If I could code, I'd make a plugin that would trap a midi signal until the next beat (whether it be set to 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/43523, whatever!) to register and process the note that was just played.
This would work wonders for bass arpeggiations that otherwise must be pre-recorded.
Live quantizing? Some things just need to be on time! Help?

I just don't see why it's so hard to trigger an appregio on time
But if you want to pay me, I'll write you a plugin to do exactly what you want for cheap

the live arp is quantized, if you have it in sync mode and the bpm of the project is correct it will sync up
try it out
put in a 1 bar drum loop and set the arp to 1/4 notes with 50% gate
now try to play a single note off tempo
it wont even send the first hit until it gets to the next 1/4 note
