Issues with Live 7 and East West Symphonic Orchestra

I'm having severe problems with ableton Live 7 and
East West Symphonic Orchestra Silver Edition.

When playing/recording arrangements note dropouts occur
randomly. Same thing, with an even worse effect, happens when
exporting arrangements into a wav file, notes are cut off.

I tried different audio settings/resolutions without success.

I'm on a Lenovo laptop, running windows XP, m-audio fast
track pro. All software and drivers involved is up to date.
