Anyone using a POD X3 with Live?

I'm thinking about trying a Line 6 POD X3. Anyone using one with Live on a Macbook? How do you like it?

i tested it and it was cool

didn't buy it tho... guitar tone was meh, wanted to keep my tube amp.

I use one with my mbp, works and sounds great IMO.

Same set up except mine is an X3Live and Terekith is running a bean i believe.

I have owned a Pod 2.0, an XT, an XT Live, then sold that and bought a Behringer V-AMP, which was crap, then moved back to another XT.

Line 6's stuff is good shit, buy one, you won't regret it.

And the pod can act as a USB dongle to authenticate the podfarm plugins.
With this you can run as many instances as your CPU can handle. Some really nice effects in there too.

I don't use my X3 for sound any more, too much routing and preset hassles.

Just pulled the trigger....should have the POD X3 by Monday.

Is it best to use the USB out or the two 1/4 inch left and right outputs into a Firewire interface?

I'm almost thinking I can ditch the interface all together if the USB works well.

They both work fine, though I tend to use the 1/4" just because it's what I'm used to and the way I have my studio laid out. The few times I used the USB it worked fine too.

same here, i use both depending on the situation or circumstance.
the usb gives you more combination's and options including a direct unaffected signal straight
from the input of the pod. i have often used this as a front end for other computer based amp sim's.

Depends on a lot of things, what's your latency set to in Live's preferences? Are you Line 6 drivers up to date?
