Please inform me when Live 8.7.9b8 beta is online.

In the meantime i'll playing with my toes.
Because Live in its present state is useless for me - very strange GUI behaviors.

beta version is an unofficial release and the dev company pays for beta testers to find bugs then the dev team solve problems found by beta testers. the company pays for the beta testers so when the official release coming out the end-users (us) can use the software without problems.
this is the definition (about)

in case of ableton this thing is a bit different
you pay hundreds of $ to being a beta tester then still get unstable, almost unusable (esp for live performances) software wich lacks of beizer automation curves, sysex an many more that every other daw deliver.
after spending a lot of money on that you start thinking of buying fruity loops instead or keep suffering from this terrible product.
i am on the latter way.
yeah.

I have never received any email from ableton.... ever! No updates, no news on specials and so on....

That sux, the software is awesome, i couldnt live without it.. this is my only problem so far here with ableton.

what's wrong with copying and pasting there announcement and mass mailing it.

Because i dont make it a habit of checking the site everyday, I often find that when collaborating with friends, I end up not being to open the file because they have a updated version.

They (ableton) are the first to know about the update, email it out FFS!

yeah i cant believe this.
if you buy live you would expect to get a stable version, not an officially announced beta version.
infact, i havent seen any company that makes software that sells their product in a beta stage simply because its a beta and its not stable.

well, except for game companies, they do preorders and let you in to the closed beta, but only if you preorder.
you better hurry up now ableton, because you only have half a year before you are to bump live 8 from beta state to stable before releasing live 9.0.0.0.0.1A and charge us once again.

seriously guys, get your shit together.

i dont know if its just the way i work, but live has rarely crashed on me since live 3. Maybe 20 or 30 times. I think it must be because i write better music than you guys.

Why does nobody from the Ableton team ever bother to explain to us why our product keeps crashing?
