i will say that leather computer chairs EAT SHIT for production

i end up using the most uncomfortable chair i have just because you cant relax too much in it

So I'm gonna lose the desk and put this shit on the floor on boxes, speakers on the other side of the room. who's with me?
I migrate back & forth from having my setup on the floor to a chair stylee. I like both for different reasons. I just switched from a floor based setup to a chair oriented studio for a number of reasons, but will still use the floor for some things, & may switch back to the floor again if I move my studio to a new location. Ideally, everything I have would be on hydraulic lifts to accommodate both setups!

Here's one of the nicest studios I've ever seen:

I thought about this today and really liked the idea. I'm not sure if I'm going to the floor or the stand up studio now. When I was a teenager I used to bring egg crates out to the front room with a sampler/drum machine and record player and make crappy tunes on cassette. So there is that memory that makes me fond of that type of set up. But I think my 30 year old knees might not dig it so much anymore.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

For me its my 43 yr old ass. I am sitting down so long that I am doing something bad nerve wise, legs and feet go tingly. I figure if I force myself to stand (and lean on my desk like a bar if necessary) I will have to keep my body moving and the weight on my feet. I already stand up when I play guitars anyways. I will still have to do a lot of sitting for other stuff, but at least there will be less of it.

^^^

that's why i have setup my joint 70% sitting and 30% standing... that way i have some physical action as well and keep on moving, get less tired and keep myself in action... sitting the whole day is killing so is standing. you need a change.

Id like to see some pics of your stand up studio?

I'm retarded so I don't know how to sit on my chair, so I allways have a feet under my ass on the chair, and then I allways have serious "itching" in one leg... call me dumb ;) but I really like the stand up idea.

cheers

ps: Hey subfunk, still leader of the GAFM movement!!!! I had forgotten that, lol.
