c) Stay calm and ignore the behavior to the extent possible.

Yeah, it was always fun to go to the WaxTrax store. I wasn't there every weekend, but definitely been there a lot. Was wild walking in and seeing all these guys just hanging out sometimes, or seeing Jourgenson throwing shit for now reason. That guy was weird.

When I was at the Glitch Mob show a few weeks ago my friend said to me "Huh, sounds like Skinny Puppy turned main stream dance music". Nough said.

Interesting! When they played in chicago many people after the show complained about the mosh pits...beats me wrote:When I was at the Glitch Mob show a few weeks ago my friend said to me "Huh, sounds like Skinny Puppy turned main stream dance music". Nough said.

Back in the late 90's I was big Goth boy so of course I heard of Skinny Puppy but was never a huge fan, too drugged out experimental for my taste. My favorite song has always been Warlock but that's for the epic chorus and all parts in between are trip over yourself on the dance floor filler.abort wrote:Interesting! When listening to Glitch Mob something in my head said it was dance music, although I had never tried. It wasn't until I went to the show that I realized there's no winning on the dance floor to Glitch Mob. At best you can bob/bang your head, bounce around, or mosh, very much like Industrial night at a Goth club flailing around to Skinny Puppy. I was also surprised at the amount of decked out Goths and Ravers at Glitch Mob. I was expecting more 30-something hipsters.

I love sp and side-projects. I'm actually a little surprised to see such love here though, considering how infrequently industrial or ebm tends to come up here. I still remember the first time I heard download's Omniman when I was in college. The tiger sounds at the beginning, the crazy bassline... it still gives me goosebumps.

I too was a big industrial fan in high school. I listened to them a ton. Over the years my musical tastes have expanded, but these guys still have a pretty dominant spot in my library and regular rotation.
And while I know it was quite a departure from their regular sound, I was a huge fan of The Process.

In the late 90's it seemed like Ogre was at every techno concert in LA I went to.Johnisfaster wrote:sorry for this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KHDb9xwHvc&feature=fvw

They were my favorite band for years when I was in high school. I can't go back and listen to them at all. Don't know why.

not a true fan but I've always seemed to have had friends that were into them, I'm a fan by one degree of separation. 'Stairs and Flowers' was absolutely my favorite song to snowboard to back in the day, great track, there are some amazing remixes out there of it.
