it was weird, my wife got an email saying that musicians friend still couldn't get us one and they offered us a refund. So we took the refund and I went into guitar center and bought 1 of 3 that were in stock.

it's a badass controller, thats for sure.

I've ordered mine on 07/07/2009 at B&H Photo Video online store. The status of my order is still "ON BACKORDER". I just wrote them an e-mail but being an international customer I see no other way than to wait for the damn thing to arrive in their stock first. No Guitar Centers here unfortunately, hehe.

In Europe it's more like a soldier's journey for getting one apc40.

My preordered should be at the musicshop at the end of the month.
As soon as I've received their phonecall, I can run to the store and pay for the apc.

None have been released in Australia...I cancelled my order from my local store and managed to buy one from an ebay powerseller who have shipped it out to Aus...my local said that they wont arrive for another 60-90 days...

It's not arrived yet, but my package tracker says it landed in Aus today.

Mine is due to arrive tomorrow after 6 week backorder through Sam Ash. Actually mine would still be on backorder If I wasn't checking my order status daily like a madman. I noticed late last week that Sam Ash were advertising they had stock, but my order was still on backorder. I made a phone call and was told it was a glitch in the system. Things are sorted now and I can't wait til tommorrow night.

It's funny that the Guitar Center on 14th Street has all that stock and that Musician's Friend's got gotz.. Musician's Friend is owned by Guitar Center.

Sweetwater currently has them in stock. Musician's Friend claims they will have them August 18. B&H Photo-Video and Novamusik are both out of stock at the moment.

I had a deposit down at Steve's in Montreal. They're refunding it though because of the wait. Mine'll be here this week from sweetwater.

i had the APC ordered for me in early May as birthday gift from my gf, dad, and sis.

I've been waiting till it shipped to spill the beans on the DEAL we got, so here's a tip for all of you that ordered waaaay back in May from Musicians Friend and haven't gotten yours yet: BITCH AND MOAN and you will get a DISCOUNT!!

Basically we called every time it was supposed to ship (a total of 4 missed dates since we ordered it) and by bitching them out for screwing up the birthday, we ended up getting the APC for $339.99 AND a $20 credit to use! On top of that, my deal savvy girlfriend used the gift certificate deal they had in early May to buy a $400 gift cert at 20% off! So if you follow the math:

$320 spent for a $400 gift certificate + $20 bitch and moan credit + $339.99 for the APC = $80 cash saved AND $80 more store credit to put towards something else, for a grand total of $160 OFF what we would have payed!

Once the APC arrives and we get the credit difference ($400-339) I'm going to score an SM57 and it's going to cost me $20 and shipping.

I have to say, after hating musicians friend for months they really went above and beyond, but you gotta ask!

Yep, and price looks to be $1k+ ($830USD) compared to the $399USD from novamusik... Way to twist the knife...
