Live 8 randomly quits during playback

When i try to playback in composition mode live quits partway through. Everytime. this just started happening today and i am very confused. I am running live with several vst's including massive and some by audio damage. Can anyone help me out? It would be a disaster to lose the ability to work on my projects for no apparent reason...

for me it's quitting every time a few minutes after i launch it.

i have an email in to Ableton support. waiting.

Ok. i seemed to have solved MY problem..

turns out Live 8 (not Live 7) has a conflict with Unsanities APE and WindowShade.
(maybe it's just Windowshade, haven't fine-combed it yet..)

I find 8.0.4 is much more prone to random crashes. Fortunately it always saves all of my progress but wondering why this is.

I'm wondering as well, never had that much "A serious program error has occurred. Live will shutdown after this message box is closed!"-windows in any Live version before...

Well, its been a week, ive tried just about everything i can think of to no avail. this has seriously shaken my confidence in ableton. If i cant get live to stay open i guess im just going to have to start over in a new program...

Live 8 is akin to bananas... It ripens at customer's, too. No need to worry!

Take the crash log and post it to Ableton. They'll be able to check out what's wrong with your project. In my case it's usually been a certain 3rd party plugin. Mail them before giving up - they answer much faster in their support-email address than here.

Remember to post them your crash logs and if you're on a mac, also system profile. You'll save time because they'll probably ask them anyway.
