Hi guys! I'm a novice. I've got "Ableton Live Lite" with my M-Audio sound card, and now I'm learning the built-in tutorials.
I can't get, is it a real thing to produce music, or it's just a toy and I should upgrade "Lite" to full version?
I've found just Impulse and Simpler there and no synthesizers. I'm confused.
Live Lite
Re: Live Lite
There is a comparison chart somewhere. Near as I can tell, lite is the real deal. Just the number of things is limited, so unless you need millions of this and that stick with Lite as you learn. Upgrade only when you bump into a limitation. Lite WILL load VST, btw, so you are not limited to what came in the package. I am a total newbie, so this may not be exactly the case, but I think I am on the right track here.
Re: Live Lite
Thanks, I didn't know about VST. So if I can plug other instruments besides Impulse and Simpler, then Lite isn't just a small toy
.

Re: Live Lite
Many thanks. The comparison chart is that I was looking for.
Re: Live Lite
It's more tangled than I thought
Look at: http://www.ableton.com/pages/live_7_lit ... ison_chart
In the header: Live Lite 7 M-Audio Edition vs. Live 7 comparison chart
In the table: Live Lite 7, Live 8
Well, what's correct, Live Lite vs. Live 7 or Live 8?
