Screw you leisure muffin. You made a post specifically dedicated to mock me behind my back. You have continually badgered and provoked me. Don't cry innocence just because you're having some self pathetic moment. I do pay GREAT attention to what's going on around me and I don't see you busy selflessly saving the world or as being justified in your antagonism of me any more than the next guy. You tell me to look in the mirror? Get a clue.

i'm just pointing out that while i attempted to engage you in a conversation i never attacked you personally until after you had repeatedly done so to me. You're the one who needs a reality check, not me.

If one guy is calling you an asshole, it might be a problem with that guy. When almost everyone you interact with is calling you an asshole, you're probably acting like an asshole.

.lm.

First off, let's address your delusions, shall we? Even though I could care less what others think of me "here" when I am standing according to my own convictions via my posts`, "most everyone I interact DOES NOT call me an asshole" Got that? That's a bold faced lie. There are about 5 people on here that regularly disagree with me that tend shoot their self righteous mouths off because of what I can only imagine as internet penis envy. You got your problems, no question.

I HONESTLY enjoy helping other forum members and also enjoy interacting and learning more and more about Live everyday. I am a really nice person provided that I am not insulted first. If you can honestly find one instance where I attacked you (and don't separate the man from the man's personal ideas and efforts, that's a pussy's game that I don't play)prior to you insulting and provoking me, I would be VERY surprised. I don't believe you can.

Secondly, the FIRST post you made to me was a personal attack on me leisuremuffin. The first I remember anyhow. I would honestly estimate that 8 out of 10 of the posts that you have directed at me are a negative toned disagreement in which you act like some insulting know it all.

Like I said, I won't play games with you and tell you that it's time for a reality check, but don't you dare contend that you are better than me in ANY way. The difference between you and I is that I don;t look to others to validate my stance. It's between you and I Sir, and if I am guilty in the least, you're twice as guilty. Once for testing me and expecting me to run, and twice for failing at what you yourself are accusing me of in the first place.

quite frankly, you're nuts if you think that's how it happened. You might want to take a look at how you talk to people.

I tend to pull no punches and am certainly not here to sell anyone anything. We'll just have to drop it lm. I don't think I am delusional, you don't think your are delusional, and yet, I am certain you are as delusional as you certainly think I am.

Drop it, huh? Well you can start with a *sincere* apology for accusing me of making another screen name to troll you with. And you can apologize for all of the hard core personal attacks you've made. Why don't you read back on some of the stuff you've posted at me and others here. And since you like to make crazy demands about previous posts, why don't you find one where i attacked you before you insulted and attacked me. There isn't one, pal. You acted like a dick, i responded. It's that simple.

I won't be addressing you further until you decide to apologize or at least admit that you were being insulting first. If not, that's fine, i'll just ignore you unless you continue to slander me. Keep my name out of your mouth and i'll leave you alone. Sound fair?

 Listen to the tough guy.

Sir, you're a walking, talking, dick head. Fuck you and your self righteous judgmental horse shit.

You're not going to address me unless I apologize eh? You say that like it's a bad thing.

Go get some sleep.

You want me to stop slandering you, weave you wittle name out of my big bad mouth? I'd like to tell you what to keep out of your mouth but it wouldn't do any good. You should have NEVER pulled that post bullshit with me sister. You should have chosen not to call me a douche bag every time I got the better of you in a post. You should have never told me that "you wipe your ass with my musical knowledge", you fucking ignorant hack.

Anytime, anyway, you feel like getting on lm, you just let me know. Talk to me like some tough guy.

So you don't want to drop it, then?
Haven't made yourself look like enough of a dipshit yet, i guess.
Fine by me, carry on.

you know why i told you that "i wipe my ass with your musical knowledge?"

two reasons,

#1 - I *do* wipe my ass with your musical knowledge.

#2 - You posted a whole bunch of insulting bullshit about a topic you knew little about. You aren't some blameless victim in this affair. You acted like a dick, and you had it thrown back at you. You see, the difference between me and you is that i have class, and substance to my arguments. You just name call and spout personal attack after personal attack. All the while claiming that you are the victim. It would be funny if it didn't indicate some serious mental and emotional problems.

i'm ready to "drop it" whenever you are, Dr. It's as simple as you don't say shit about me and I won't say anything to you. You clearly aren't capable of admitting any wrongdoing, so i won't be expecting the apology that i deserve. But i do expect you to stop talking all that nonsense about me. You do that, i leave you alone. If you don't there are other avenues that can be explored.

What happens when a wave hits the wall is: it gets absorbed by the wall or a basstrap or, it travels through the wall or (most likely) some of it bounces back.
For basstrapping low frequencies you need seriously dense materials by the way, a bit of foam will not do it for low frequencies.

When a wave travels back it interacts with the other soundwaves just like in a flanger: 2 peaks will reinforce each other, a peak and a valley will cancel each other out. Sound is complex so something complex will happen, in an untreated room there will alway be dead spots, where the bass collapses, and areas where there is a massive amount of bass.

Best thing is to move the speakers around first like someone said. It helps if the distances from the monitors to the wall, sides, ceiling, and floor are all different.
There are some good threads on Gearslutz with some people chiming in who sell acoustic materials they tend to be all passionate music freaks, so well worth it. Although the threads occasionally deteriorate into bitch slap sessions like, erm, this thread :D so well worth it! :D :D :D

If you search my username on the UAD forum there's a thread I started somewhere about basstrapping which has some cool advice from people.

i don't really need to qualify anything to someone as rude and arrogant as you are. But, ok, i'll talk it at you for a hot second. See, what you are is an old stuffy record collector who thinks he knows everything. Now, me, i've worked at and managed record stores. And i've been an on air DJ at an independent radio station. Oh, and i've played my orig stuff out live *regularly* for over a decade. I'm higher up on the food chain than you, buddy. You consume. I provide. I listen to my record collection. I don't sit around organizing it and coming in my pants about how valuable my first pressing copy of whatever is. And you know what else i do? I share my knowledge with other like minded people without walking up to them and insulting what they are into. When you came up on this board and asked for suggestions of what electronic music to listen to, i gave you some suggestions and honest feedback. How was that favor repaid? By you insulting the music i listen to and telling me how much more you know than me. Well you didn't know who you were talking to. That's why i wipe my ass with what you think you know.

 So, you are telling me that *this* is honestly why you think you wipe your ass with my knowledge of music? Because you have worked at a music store, been a pretend DJ (non professional) and you play out *regularly*...

Dude, I am beyond elated, I thought there might be a chance that you actually did possess some degree of potential musical understanding.

Just sitting here jolly...and you, you're pretty impressed with yourself.

That's really it eh?...

Man, I feel a great weight has been lifted from me. :P

Seeing as how you play out regular and all, what's the gig? Not exactly per se, but if it's original, I am sure you have some online stuff you can share, right? Do you play covers?

Incidentally, I have roughly 6000 CDs and maybe 4000 records, with tons (thousands) of archived CDRs of rarer vinyl that I have traded for over the years. I have lots of friends that are still some of the bigger names in record sales around the world, but I haven't bought a pricey record for a few years. Never been much to sit around drooling over my stuff. More into the hunt. Been spending my spare coin (which ain't much) these days on musician stuff mostly. Spent about 265.00 on open cell foam a few weeks back. Just doing what I can.

Man, I thought you had written some books or something by the way you talked. You're just a schmuck like me at best.

So tell me leisurefluff, how long you been toting that instrument of yours to gigs? Me, I've been playing out and in for about 30 years. Been playing for close to 35 years.

Yeah, most of the stuff you recommended I found really boring, but I never criticized you for that. I still think most of that chill shit is lame, but that's just my opinion.
