Help! VST instruments rendering out of tune!

While using a mda vst synth I downloaded from here

the instruments sound fine when used in conjunction with my samples and other instruments native to Ableton.

But as soon as I render out to an aif, all sounds stay the same EXCEPT the plugin synths from mda. They go drastically out of tune. NOt just up a couple octaves, but in entirely different scales.

I contacted the author of the plugin but he was mystified.

If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it!

make sure the track is taking midi data from arrange view and not session view.

hmm.. I've had a similar experience with Sibelius... it seemed that my interface sample rate wasn't jiving with my sound card's sample rate. They were both the same, but who knows.. having both programs open at the same time seemed to be the culprit. See if you have anything else running; it sounds like a sample rate issue. Can you set your synths sample rate elsewhere?
