steelcase leap looks pretty stylish.
the Aeron chair doesn't look like it would be comfortable. Have you sat in one of these?
I'm gonna check out IKEA during my lunch break today. but, i totally need ARMRESTS on my chair !

the top of the line are steelcase leap and Aeron. I've tried both and the Leap is, by far, the superior chair. Damn near everything is customizable on it, and once you "fit" it to your desires you'll have a hard time getting out of it. Aerons are nice, dont get me wrong, but I dont dig the mesh seating and theres certain aspects of it that dont stack up to what the Leap offers

I ended up buying the Ikea office chair (without arms) that is mentioned in this thread. It's decent. I rarely get the opportunity to sit in it for more than 3 hours, but I never feel like I have a crappy chair.

And P.S... GIMMIE SOME STARZ!!

I use an old chair i pilfered from the office so in the market for a new one myself - this will be most helpful

I've had the Realspace PRO from Office Depot for a few months now and I love it. It's very similar to an Aeron, but about 25% of the price.

I turned my "composing music sitting on an old rude wooden chair for working on my desktop pc"

with a cumfortable "Sitting on my sofa with the notebook and mpd32"

Works like a charm...

and still considering buying a nice relaxing chair, but it'll wait my finding of a house first

I recommend this one, it turns a Live crash into a break.

I have a standard office chair blah... but when I'm in mixing and matching mode (with other musicians especially) I have this stool that I got from Ikea. The height is adjustable nothing fancy up top.

What makes it cool is that the base is not flat but kind of convex. So you can lean forward or back or sideways to pick up the manual that fell out of your lap or your beer... whatever, while still reamining stable. Kinda like the yoga ball without being so anally hollistic. Its great for recording sessions with guitar and bass players too. I wish I had 2.

Have you seen the day on the life of an Ableton developer? Isn't someone sitting on one of these workin' on the computer.
