OSX Switching from Core Audio to MobilePre and back

Hi all.

I'm having trouble recording with my M-Audio USB MobilePre. I need to switch my output back and forth from Built-in Audio to the MobilePre and it keeps crashing. Should I just avoid this? I'm trying to use my little speakers to listen back to stuff but I guess I could just use headphones exclusively or hook up speakers to the MobilePre.

Thoughts?

Hi yacht,

which version of Live do you use? Is it 4.1?
