switching channels exclusivly

Using ableton 6 and the FCB1010 foot controller to use some vst effect
and sound plug-ins. I'm using cc (controller commands). They are assigned to the
record arm buttons of each channel.

My only problem is now, that every time I want
to switch the channel the previous used channels stay on. So I can't just switch
from one to another channel with using just one button. When I switch one
"record arm works exclusivly" it works with the mouseclicks but not with note-on-commands or
cc-commands.

I would be thankful for help.

i posted this a couple of months ago, but you'll have to be using live 7 to work it, as it uses an effects rack within one channel.

Although, if you just want to just to play the sounds, not record them, why not set all the inputs to monitor 'in' and use the solo button instead of the record arm (again set to 'exclusive'). Do you have the same problem with that?

Anyhow, just in case you think of upgrading...
