Question about upgrading from 6 to 8.

Post by pistachio nuts » Thu Aug 20, 2009 7:58 am

hey

quick question: I am away at the moment and I have the $$$$ to upgrade now. If I wait till I get home I know the money will get spent so I was wondering if I pay on my dads laptop I can still unlock everything at home on my comp?

I reckon its a pretty simple yes but I want to be sure before the cash is handed over

well, you've obviously got a will-power problem....it's not like there's a sale or special offer on.

I think if you really can't prevent yourself from spending the dough while you're away, you should just wire it to your dad's account (or similar) for safe keeping until you return.

and btw, I'm just curious....have you been using the live8 demo ?

Well see the thing is I do have a special deal going - I'm getting a discount on my upgrade and the offer is going to expire before I can get to my computer - so there is no differance before now buying it now and the 26th when the offer expires.
I thought you paid for the serial numbers and then when you open up live you open it with the serial numbers you've paid for?

oh, cool.

well ya, go ahead and buy it via your dad's laptop. Use your own email address, you'll just get serial numbers, and when you install live on your own computer you'll be asked to authorise.....that's the important part.
