Well, I was pleased as punch to find that the independent retailer in my area for DJ kit told me he would be willing to do me an APC40 for £330 !! (usually £380 is the very cheapest it can be found online)..

..Had a call today saying that stocks are low at his supplier and he can't get one until the end of September....Such a dissapointment. I can't wait to get my hands on this badboy...

Anyway, just thought I'd share. I'm sure other places still have them in, but stocks may temporarily get shakey. It seems that Akai are busy running a load more stock out at the factory.

If a retailer will sell you an APC40 for £330 they are fools, at that price they will almost lose money on the deal.

My guess is that Septembers shipments is pre sold to the big boys. If you are going to lay your money on the counter make sure it's in stock! If you don't you will be waiting months.

The APC40 is THE hottest MI product this year.

It's extrememly cheap, I know. The place has good reputation though, despite being a small retailer. I have been surprised how hard it can be to get some audio gear though. It seems like most companies are VERY cautious of making too many of any individual product. I'm having to get a different brand of amp because Samsons ran out until september!

I've just had a call to say they got an APC40 through some american import, and they'll sell it me to collect today for £340 !! REJOICE!!
