Way better feeling knobs, and it fits the space I have better (ergonomics). I'll go out on a limb and say the keys and drum pads are a lot better too.

i kinda feel the pads on the sl37 are not sensitive enough, but the keys are pretty nice

I got used to the SL's pads, but yeah the mpk does have the mpc500 pads, so kind of hard to beat that.

Hi

I've just bought a MPK25 yesterday and I am a bit disapointed with the pads :(
they are very hard to play! I need to push hard to have sound

your mpk pads are ok now with time passed ?
I'm afraid having made a bad choice with the mpk25...

honestly... wrong choice, when it comes to the Pads, nothing beats the Korg PadKONTROL.. it's a different universe of quality
(talking about the Pads here!)

Personally I think 25 keys aren't enough, I am having a hard time with my Polar and its 37 keys. The MPK49 with 16 pads would be the ultimate controller for me.

Nice setup though Tarekith! No more Logic?

Ken
the upcoming 61 key version does have 16 pads too (I guess an mpd32 with keys essentially)

Great setup Tarekith. I guess the same setup with the mpk61 would be my ideal setup :p, even though APC40+mpk61 side by side would not be as ergonomic as your set up :p

Yeah, I had to go with the 25key version just so I could reach everything, otherwise I'd have gone with a 61 key too. Though 37 key controllers are the perfect balance for me....

Tarekith you did not answer me
your mpk pads are ok now with time passed ? or are they always hard to play ?

do you know how to set the velocity of the pads to 100% ? It could be better for me than actually maybe...

and the last answer : do you have succeed to control ableton parameters in remote mode ? ( = when a value is changing on mpk it change in ableton too and when a value is changing on ableton it change the value on mpk too)

sorry for my english!! do you know what I mean ??

thanks in advance

I never had a problem with the pads on the MPK, they feel fine to me from day one. Especially coming from the SL37, which had really stiff pads. As for your other question I answered that in your other MPK25 thread a few minutes ago.

ah ok
maybe it is me, the only pads I have ever used is from mpc1000 and I had much better feeling with them...
the mpk pads are too "hard" for me I guess
