how to route Maschine into Ableton
how to route Maschine into Ableton
I have maschine (and I love it!!!!!)
untill now I didn't combine maschine and ableton, but I want to create songs with it. The sequence (i think) of maschine is a little bit limited, and I want to use more synths.
I can drag and drop Maschine as a plugin into ableton.
But... I want different sounds to be send into different channels.
How to do this?
I can create a lot of Audio tracks for input.
I can change "input" of every audiochannel I make to "Maschine"
I can change the input to 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15/16
But, How can I send audio into these tracks. I have only one "send to" possibility (i think)
I hope someone can help me.

Have you worked out how to implement scene changes from within Ableton yet? This is something that had me stumped for a couple of weeks, but is actually very easy - let me know if you need any help.

Thanx for the replay. I found out what I did wrong.
As I see, you are as happy with this toy as I am. Really like it to make music without touching the mouse and watching a screen... love the sounds in it, love the effects, workflow. Untill now I don't like the sequencer... but for that I can use ableton.
I think the combination between ableton (and apc 40) and maschine is amazing.
I didn't do more with this combination yet, but read something about changing scenes in maschine with ableton. I will be busy with this this week.

I see you guys like the Maschine. I purchased the Maschine as well but really can't figure out the advantage over my MPC5000. It has a lot of loops etc...but I am thinking of just selling mine. Can you tell me any advantages to make me change my mind?

As I understand it the APC5000 is a high end music production centre - I don't think Maschine can compete with it (or indeed in built to!). I am very jealous!

Thanks guys for your opinions and advice. Your right the MPC 5000 is 4 times the price of the Maschine. I find myself using the MPC more that is why I am considering selling my Maschine. That said, I may give it another go.

I'm loving the Maschine + Live combo...
The pads don't light up on the MPC
The step sequencer is so cool..
Setting up separate outs.. I don't know.. would be good to have each group have its own outs at least.. will get back to you on this

it's actually really easy to set up so each group has separate outs.
On Maschine: you have to select "group" then "Out" then select which "ext Out" you want it to go to.
in Live, you set up audio channels, and route the audio from "Maschine", in the top box, then choose which of maschine's outputs from the one underneath that.... do that 8 times, and you have each group with a separate out.
hope that explains it a bit.

I am a fellow maschine mikro mk2 user and i have to say this is confusing the hell out of me, i can get ableton to pickup any audio from maschine- cant drag and drop maschine into ableton, cant even see the header maschine above the channel in ableton, im a super noob at maschine and ableton,any help would be a godsent
