Live 8.0.4 the sound stops randomly

Hi

Windows XP SP3 with all latest updates
Intel Core Quad Q6600
Focusrite Saffire LE firewire with latest drivers (just checked)

Opening the last ableton live (8.0.4), the sound stops at any time affecting all computer sounds.
In addition, ableton doesn't show any warning/error message.
Then doesn't response any play button, I have to close the program (takes several minutes to do it)

So I have to disoconnect/reconnect the firewire connection to hear anything.

Yes, I've got the same problem under my Windows XP SP 3 with the latest updates.
Also my Ableton Live (8.0.4) started to freeze while I working with NI Massive when I use flatten function. And when I close Live it still stays in the memory of my system until HOT reboot, because safe reboot doesn't work.
Also Live has lots of conflicts with FXpansion Guru.

I´m having the same problem with latest Live on OS X and with a motu ultralite lates drivers installed.

The difference to your problem ist that i still can push lay and even see the meters working but there´s no sound anymore until i quite an restart the motu.

sometimes it happens times im 10 Minutes, sometimes i can work for hours without a problem.

sadly i found no solution so far.

I'm getting this under 8.0.5 on a Mac (10.5.

. Audio dies, but meters carry on moving. On my machine, system sounds are unaffected - just Ableton Live. I've had this happen using both an M-Audio Firewire Audiophile and onboard audio.

Macbook Pro / 10.5.8 / 4GB RAM / 2.5ghz Core2Duo (mid 2008 - aluminium, pre unibody).

I'm getting this as well. Using 8.0.3 under windows XP. I've noticed that when I have a simple arrangement extending to maybe only 3 tracks using VSP synths and maybe only 4 minutes in duration that the system begins to get this random behavior and begins to not respond. I've watched the CPU usage on the system monitor and the one in Live and both seem to not be overloaded. Not sure what the cause is, but any suggestions would be helpful.

What soundcard are you using?
