EWQLSC and ableton live: word builder utility not working

I have the word builder utility running along with ableton live 5.2 and the SC vst on a midi channel inside live. Midi is reaching the vst through maple midi (the incoming midi light is blinking on the kompakt player and the keys are moving, several per actual keystroke/release, so it's the wb midi incoming alright). a WB multi is loaded...

however, no sound comes out of the kompakt player...the instrument output doesn't light up when I press any keys and I can't hear anything.

could anyone explain how to solve this?

any problems known with live and EWQLSC?

any help appreciated.

ok, apparently this is because live doesn't support polyphonic aftertouch...

(just in case anybody else was wondering)
