Hi All,
I just got a MPD32 and can't seem to properly set it up in Live 7. Everything I do makes Live hang...
It didn't come with drivers (bought it used) nor could i find drivers on AKAI's site so I let Win XP find the applicable drivers. The MPD32 is seen in Windows and Live as "USB Audio Device", USB Audio Device [2] and USB Audio Device [3].
What do I select for Input/output in the Control Surface Area and for Track/Sync/Remote below?
Can anybody take a screenshot of their setup?
Thanks,
Eugene

Re: Help Setting up MPD32 in Live 7.0.16
first of all there's an update for the firmware. 1.03.
You really should give the time to read everything about the sysex editor and the right procedure to upgrade your firmware.
If you're not under 1.03 go for it, it solves minor but important issues
within live just use the first usb device in the list _the other ones [2] [3] ... are windows crap
you'll also have to set in and out correctly
I'll take a screenshot tomorrow, now it's time to bed for me

Re: Help Setting up MPD32 in Live 7.0.16
Thanks, appreciate it.
BTW, I am able to use it right now, just not as a control surface, and I noticed that hitting the corners rarely trigger a note on. I thought Akai fixed this with the MPC 1000 where the old ones had circle sensors instead of square sensors like the rest of the MPC series.
Maybe I have an old MPD32 or do all MPD32s have square sensors?
