Chopping up audio samples

Post by SuperDopeBeatMaker » Mon Aug 24, 2009 11:37 pm

Hi guys. I have an audio loop which is 4 bars long but it's got an extra few milliseconds at the end of it which I want to chop off because it's clicking at the end of the loop. Can this be done in Ableton? I've been selecting the audio clip up to just before the click wave and clicking 'crop sample' but it doesn't disappear. Any hints?

Set the start and end markers exactly where you need them. Dont even need to chop it.
Nothing to see here - move along!

alternatively copy the clip into arrangement view. delete the bit you dont want and consolidate the clip!

Or in session view, set the loop makers then right click and choose 'crop sample'
Or again in session view, set the volume envelope and reduce it to '0' for the part you dont wana hear.
