Track Volume Setting in Session View.

Post by wasabi805 » Wed Aug 26, 2009 2:21 am

Hello everyone.

I had a quick question regarding track volume settings in session view. I'm using a DJM 800 to control the track volumes in session view.
The DJM800 mixer is set up so that when an individual track fader is at 0, all sound is cut and when at 10, the fader is at it's most physical highest volume.

My Question:

Is there a way in Ableton to adjust my faders on the DJM800 (or any other type of midi controlled volume fader for the matter) so that when the DJM fader is at level 10 on the mixer itself, the track in Live will level off the volume to the 0 decibel line in session view?

Thanks for your time.
:)

put a utility plug in on the track to lower its overall volume to begin with? that or in clip view lower the clip's volume accordingly?

when you midi-map a fader you can set the minimum and maximum values. Check in the browser of the midi mappings. set max.-value to 0 db.
