ableton asks for a separate unlock for every user account

hi there. this is the first time that i've made a separate account on my laptop dedicated to my Live gigs only, and when i opened Live under that new account, Live asked me to unlock it again. wtf?! i already have it unlocked on that laptop, why do i need to waste one more unlock? is that how it usually goes..?

Yes - very annoying isnt it.

You can try this: take the 'unlock.cfg' from the user folder where Live was successfully unlocked, and copy it into the other user folder(s)...worked for me.

Having different users on the same computer using the same license of Live
does not require multiple unlocks. It's no black art, it's supported.

I'd suggest to contact Ableton to let them know that you spared an unlock
in that way so they can allow one more.
