t-racks singles: classic compressor or EQ?

Post by dboy18 » Thu Aug 27, 2009 7:01 am

Hi!

Taking advantage of the Group buy I already got:

Pultec
Fairchild
Lp Eg
opto compressor

I can´t make up my mind about the fifth though; classic eq or classic compressor. Any thoughts or recommendations?

best regards

I got

Pultec
Fairchild
LP EQ
Opto

BW Limiter

I have to say that the limiter is FANTASTIC!
Check the demo.

Now about the Classic Compressor or Classic EQ it is up to you ...
You already choose 2 excellent EQ's and 2 Compressors (+ you have the live natives).
So ask your self ...do i really need one more EQ or Compressor?
(I know that they classic series have a different character but...)

Hi!

I sort of think that mastering isn´t my strength (yet  ...) so I´m planning to use the singles mostly during mixing of individual tracks. That´s why I didn´t include the BW limiter as of yet.

I tried the demoes and liked both the classical eq and compressor on vocals (e.g in combination with the pultec)
but not really having bored into the native ones in Live8 yet, I´d appreciate comments like "you can get that eq sound with live own processors" if that´s the case. Then I´d probably go for the BW limiter anyway.
