Post by 0fps » Fri Aug 28, 2009 11:23 am

I own ?7 and I am thinking to get a subwoofer to fill my monitoring. I am thinking of SUB 8 and I am wondering if it worths its money?

I use A7's, and don't feel I need a sub in the small room they sit in. I have a friend in a larger studio who has them with the sub, and the added bottom end is amazingly clear - not muddy at all. As with all things related to speakers, listening in your own room is the only thing that matters - if you can find a dealer or friend who'll let you try it out, do it. Room acoustics are the key - and treatment may be required to get the best out of a sub...

Do you remember the model of the sub that your friend has?

Right choice it's the best thing that I have ever tried aspecially now liveing in one-room flat and it's great even without sub.

Got the Adams and the Adam Sub10. Really nice combo!
Not sure about the Sub 8, i heard it once and it was humming and rumbling like it couln´t manage the lows very good. There i decided to get the Sub10 which sounds perfectly clear.
