can you have a sympathy for a guy who survives a plane crash and kills himself with drugs in less than a year? talk about making the most of a second chance.

Ah, yes, I agree. So who's DJ'ing down at RAIN tonight? Sad face.

I'll fill in for him tonight at RAIN, if you like.

Too bad, no matter how you look at it.

RIP.

 I heard about this, RIP. I also heard about the plane crash, but If I have no idea who he is or what his music is am I like totally "out of the loop". Was he some superstar that everybody on the planet knew about except me? I guess it is off to you tube for some schooling

Talented, but DJ to the stars and trendy. He also banged Nicole Ritchie for a spell and I'm sure some other talentless celebs I'm not aware of.

Thank you for the clarification. Probably why I never heard of him, most of those people are beyond my pay grade....

it's sad but who really knows what was going thru his mind and what he was going thru.. maybe accidental, maybe on purpose. some people are so quick to judge someone who they don't even know.. but regardless, he may be just a name to us, but he's still someone's son, brother, friend, etc.. best wishes to his family and RIP bro.. go out in style and get buried in a turntable coffin.. that's how I wanna go..

bad to say cause I don't wish death on anybody, but do you think if Tiesto died today, that would open the door for more talented DJs? I think there is a huge bottleneck for what the average man will go out and appreciate in Electronica DJing and that bottleneck's name is Tiesto.

Known amongst famous people for banging Nicole Ritchie? Sure

Talented? That's news to me.

I logged into myspace for the first time in months, and there's a message about paying respect from that dumbshit tom...I also don't wish death on anyone, but mourn someone who wasn't talented and got famous banging rich snobs? I'd have traded him for my cat who was hit by a car last year in a new york minute, RIP Juno. Not to be a dick, but so many more influential people passed in the last year, just none of them were famous for surviving a plane wreck (and banging rich idiots). It's a shame what's important to the media today. If anything, people should be disgusted that TMZ is using AM's death for page hits, and nothing more - TMZ would gladly have posted pics of AM puking in front of a bar if they could get any, it's all about publicity, and ratings, and the worse shit is, the more rags they sell. Pathetic. Better off mourning the death of sensibility in the media - RIP, Edward R. Murrow.

EDIT: I'm not going to change what I said above, but I will amend it, as I have never really listened to his music, and can't really speak on the real level of his talent. I wouldn't even know of AM if I hadn't been assigned to watch TMZ for a media class during a time where several episodes had stories about Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie (worst assignment ever). The only thing I ever learned about the guy was the method he used to work his way to the top, by jumping on the coattails of rich people who aren't really known for doing anything, and no, I can't say that such a method merits my respect.
