How to split Stereo Track into 2 sperate Mono Tracks ?

can anybody tell me what I need to do for splitting up one Stereo File into 2 seperate mono Audio Files ?

maybe there is another way but you could duplicate the track or clip and use the utility for each (audio effects of live). there you can modify to just play the left/right side.
