Doesn't make too much sense, Yamaha already own Nuendo/Cubase? Avid did buy M-Audio though, and they already own Pro Tools/Digidesign.


On that line though, who would buy Ableton if it were to be bought? Korg or AKAI maybe, but not big enough?

Yamaha have been better owners for Steinberg than previous owners, Pinnacle group were IMO. The two have worked together to integrate things such as Cubase AI4 and the Motif XS synths interaction and the new Yamaha hardware interfaces and controllers integrating well with the software.

Although in terms of customer service both remain in the 'could do better' category.
