Trigger Session slots with notes in a midi track

I was wondering if its possible to trigger session slots from notes written in a midi track?

make a midi loop by plugging a midi out port into a midi in port, just make sure it doesn't loop and create a midi feedback loop which will crash Live.

send the control track out the midi port. in preferences enable REMOTE OUT. for the midi input port enable REMOTE IN.

for a Mac you can use the IAC instead of a midi cable, for PC use midi yoke.
