Reverse Playback

If there's an easy way of doing this, I don't know. If there isn't, this would be a cool and simple (I think) feature to add: reverse playback on MIDI clips (as easy to set up as in an AUDIO clip).

Usually I don't use any audio clips, it's all done in MIDI and sometimes I want to try some reverse effects. I know that by using the delay and attack envelopes I can emulate a reverse on certain instruments and I also know that I can always export a MIDI clip and import it back in as an AUDIO clip and then apply the reverse. But to be honest I've searched for this function and I can't find a way to reverse the playback of a MIDI clip.

Anyone else shares my thoughts?

use some buffering plugin that allow you to reverse any incoming audio with a very short latency...you can put it on the master or drums channels too to have more complex effects

that's not a midi reverse so is not exactly what you want but it could be usefull

you want an effect that if you play A B C notes it makes C B A notes? or you want that the outgoing audio is reversed?

in the first case i can only just suggest to make a clip whit C B A notes , in the second case reversinator can be what you need.

I think it's the second case you pointed.

The same way we can reverse the entire sound of an audio clip (including any effects that are fed to it), we should be able to do it for a MIDI clip.

But I'll check that plugin. It's just that this seems to be an easy feature to implement on Live.
