All I can think about is FFT's but I've seen a few people get around this amazingly enough.

The quote from GS to my previous post was a copy-paste from the NI site so i guess it is official...Bionecteur wrote: This is not an official information from NI...just a dealer.
Re: Native Instruments - komplete 6 pre-orders & updates
Since I've just purchased Komplete 5, what happens to Pro53, B4, Akoustic and Electrik Piano if I upgrade? Do I loose them, or will they stay on my HD?

They stay on your computer, future OS upgrades could ruin them though, something to keep in mind. I have Vocator and Spectral Delay from Komplete 2 on my laptop, hopefully they work fine when I upgrade to Snow Leopard?exper wrote:Since I've just purchased Komplete 5, what happens to Pro53, B4, Akoustic and Electrik Piano if I upgrade? Like they said, Akoustik and Electrik Piano are now part of Kontakt, which I'm not surprised about. The surprising discontinuation is B4 II, that kinda hurts, though it did have some aliasing on the higher notes that sample libraries don't have. Maybe they wrap it into Reactor?
Re: Native Instruments - komplete 6 pre-orders & updates
I think only Electrik Piano is part of kontakt library ...

All the answers are here
"Native Instruments has discontinued Akoustik Piano, B4 II, Bandstand, Elektrik Piano and Pro-53 as individual products on September 1st.
This allows Native Instruments to further concentrate its resources on those products and technologies that are of primary relevance for today's music production environments, and offer a focused product portfolio with minimal overlap. Technical support for users of discontinued products continues to be available.
Existing owners of Akoustik Piano, Bandstand and Elektrik Piano can use the content of these instruments with the free Kontakt Player as a powerful replacement. The Kontakt Player offers full-featured playback capabilities for these Kontakt-based instruments, as well as future-proof compatibility with the latest versions of relevant operating systems and plugin hosts.
Users can find alternatives to the discontinued instruments in the current product portfolio. Native Instruments will be offering the content of Akoustik Piano as individual instruments for download purchase in the near future. The instruments contained within Elektrik Piano are part of the Kontakt 4 factory library. As an alternative to the B4 II, the '57 Drawbar Organ instrument continues to be available."

Re: Native Instruments - komplete 6 pre-orders & updates
for as much as i love ni, their dedication to product lines suck. their entire marketing department should be throat punched. they're ruining their brand with "business" decisions that piss people off. everything i've bought from ni has been discontinued so i'm left with an un-upgradable dead end product. Electronic Instruments 2XT, Reaktor Sessions, now some of my favorite parts of Komplete. version 6 should be called komplete*
*except for that stuff we took away

Well I for one won't be upgrading.
B4 II is one of my faves
What exactly is of primary relevance for today's music production environments then!!
