Cannot assign X-Fader with X-Session Pro

Hi, I am just starting to Dj w ith ableton and bought an X-Session Pro a while back. I cannot seem to assign my crossfader with MIDI learn. It does not seem to want to get assigned to any knob I try. My x fader slider works on my hardware. In the MIDI window there is no range assigned to the CC when I MIDI learn the crossfader.

Any suggestions?

you on a mac or pc?

ages ago i had a problem with my pc laptop and live finding the crossfader with the old x-session

but no problems on my mac
