this is not bad for a online tutorial as it's interactive and it's free.. you can even download a offline version.. other than that, i also have a book called "music theory for computer musicians".. it's good for me.. the author also has a book on composition for computer musicians.. they are both good and go hand in hand..

Plenty, just google, youtube etc. One size does not fit all. Use a mixture of web, software, books etc. Depends on your starting point, instrument of choice and how/why you need theory.

I'm halfway Schoenbergs "Theory of Harmony", translated by Roy E. Carter.

As I see that you'r from Kreuzberg you could do with the original in German (Harmonielehre), I mean, he wrote it in German.

The book is full of examples, and very systematically, and more, it is very complete.

You will find tips and tricks that you wont find anywhere else, at least, I didnt.

Its a system that he presents.

Its not a book you will read in a weekend, in that case you better look for something else.

Up to you.

I would not recommend the Harmonielehre as a place to start for a beginner.

they are both good with different subjects although related.. maybe start of with theory and then proceed with the composition after your done.. my gf also has the theory book that gjm suggested but I like the one i mentioned better.. it takes it from the perspective of someone in computer music, hence the title.. the other book is geared towards being classically trained..
