Laptop with 6 pin firewire?

Hi!

I have one of m-audio firewire audiophile soundcard,and I searching for laptop with 6 pin firewire port,couse it can give power for soundcard,and than i dont need external dc adapter.

Do you known any idea for laptop (not mac)

To my knowledge, pc laptops with built-in 6-pin firewire don't really exist. Even the custom music pc sellers (last time I checked) only sell laptops with a built in 4-pin FW, and will include a FW express card or the like.

As far as I know, only apple has powered firewire ports. You can still use the FW800 port on the new machines with a cable that goes from FW800 to FW400 and it will provide power. I used to power my old scratchamp from the FW800 port on an old powerbook (the FW400 port died). The older style macbook pro's still had both ports on board so you could have two firewire devices hooked up without an expansion card.
