I've got a motherboard that can output up to six channels (three stereo outs), and was hoping to use one pair as my speaker out and another pair as the monitor out for my headphones. It all seems to be setup and working as it should under the sound control panel, however Live doesn't show up any options to allocate channels 3 and 4 to the monitor - and only shows up channels 1/2 instead. Am I missing something, or is this just not possible?

Hi noggy,
currently Live supports Multi-channel audio only for ASIO or CoreAudio driver. Accessing the audio hardware via DirectX or MME is only in stereo possible. It is on our list to improve that but I cannot provide you with a date.
regards,
Alex

and then make sure that you activate all the outs you want to use under Options in Live.
