APC40 + Another controller - [Mapping Question}

Hi, i am trying to use another controller exclusively for one VST only and whey i map it, it also maps on the APC40 at the same time...(.like some video someone posted with the novation remote sl...)

is there a way i can stop this? i want to be able to dedicate another controller to whatever VST i want at any time to be independent form the APC40.....
i dont know if you get what i am trying to say here...lol....but thanks advanced.

Put your other controller on a different MIDI channel other than 1-9. The APC uses many of them and you'll get into issues w/ overlapping CC's and notes.

ok, i will try that, thanks....i was trying with channel 02 and still nothing, but now that you mention it, i will try other than 1-9 and see if it works...

hello there..i am trying this again...and it is not working, i mean, i does work, but APC gets it maped at the same time also in all 16 channels....even if i put midi from the midi controller i want to use....

Can you give an example? For instance, I mapped CC7 ch 4 to something that overwrote the slider for track 4. Which MIDI # & channel are you setting and what is it overwriting on the APC?
