I wonder how the cpu efficiency will compare to DP 5.13? I am feeling an interest to upgrade as well.Machinesworking wrote:DP7 now officially on the MOTU site.

I still think DP is a great choice for a Live partner. A lot of features of traditional DAWs Live will probably never see that some of us find useful, like event lists, notation, advanced MIDI, dual monitor support, sysex support, a streamlined way of containing hour long sets of individual songs etc. and comparing the telephone support to Apple??? it's at least not $500+ for the service!I'm taking the plunge.

Live, Reason, Moog sub phatty, Moog sub 37, Ozone 6, guitars, Pedals, proper ergonomic sitting posture, french pressed coffee with a pinch of cardamon.

Brutally better. As with all software, some people have had problems with 6, I never upgraded, but 6 has a pre-rendering feature that finally had DP beating Logic in CPU tests when a plug in was capable of pre-rendering. <-- some I guess are not??aisling wrote:I wonder how the cpu efficiency will compare to DP 5.13? I'm a total novice in DP now, it's hilarious. I have 5.1.3, but I never got around to getting used to it enough and it's sat on my laptop for the most part. I went from DP to Logic to Live, and still use Logic sometimes to get MIDI tight, though I'm well aware that for that purpose my experience with 2.7.2 has me aware that DP is better for this.
